A reliable selection order
- Confirm the customer's requested mood and occasion.
- Pick the broad silhouette and required pattern pieces.
- Compare fabric appearance and cost in that context.
- Check the resulting style information before cutting.
- Reserve budget for any required trim or accessories.
Grain line matters
Pattern pieces should follow the fabric grain unless the design specifically calls for a bias cut. Poor alignment changes how the finished panel behaves and can reduce construction quality.
